My Wife

2006

More delays and for some reason I haven't worked on this section. Life is just too busy for us. 2006 was another horse year for my wife. She got two more horses and lost one to injury.

We also had a great vacation at the Grand Canyon with the family and he's Tia with her Dad and a couple kids.

Tia moved to a new company, Intervoice, this year and a new job. She's a sales engineer for the Premium accounts. It was a lot of travel in the fall, but also a slack time and she had a good amount of horse time when she was in town.

2005

The first real horse year. After buying a horse late last year, Tia spent most of this year training her horse and competing in an endurance race as seen below.

We also built a barn and her horse ended up being stored at home.

2004

Wow I've been neglecting this. I had to make a small update here as I got pictures from Tia's trip with the boys to Durango and we got this great picture:

Tia also finally left Aspect this year for Phonetic Systems. She was getting overloaded and tired of Aspect, the extra work, the limited respect and the dwindling culture. And Phonetic Systems heavily recruited her, calling often and making a great offer. So it's Aug 3, and she just started, heading to Boston Sunday for two weeks of training.

2003

It's interesting to see what I wrote last year. In October of this year, we finally had professional wedding photos shot, nearly 5 1/2 years later. Tia still had her dress and had to get it down sized for the shoot. How cool is that!!! 5 years married and she needs to take her wedding dress in to fit. Don't have digitals of the shots, but here was one from that night.

Her job really took off this year and she spent time in London, Germany (twice), Las Vegas, and who knows where else. It's great supporting her and seeing her career grow. We also got her dream of owning a horse a little closer with the move to 2 1/2 acres outside Denver. Here she is with out lovely daughter and the neighbor's horse.

2002

What can I say about her. Tia is my rock, she is my support and keeps me going, especially when I'm down. I think we've built a great team as parents and can trade off the duties and try to keep each other sane with 3 kids to try our patience and sap our energy. We both love our family tremendously and always keep in mind that we work to give our family a good life, and work isn't more important than that.

Tia enjoys traveling and is constantly leaning on me to go somewhere. On the weekends, she likes nothing better than to get out of the house and head somewhere. Preferably the mountains, but anywhere will do. If we don't get at least two good vacations a year, she is disappointed and I try my best to accomodate her. Not that I don't like vacations, but I love being at home.

I think Tia has the best job in the world. She's worked for Aspect Communications for 12 years as a telecommuter in Virginia and now in Denver. She works in sweats, sometimes shoes, actually slippers and usually some type of T-shirt. Her commute consists of getting downstairs and into her office. Which has 4 or 5 computers in it.

She's more of a people person and I think would like her job to be more with people and less with computers sometimes, but she's good at it and has received numerous kudos from customers over the years. In fact, a number of customers will ask for her when needing something fixed. I'm proud of her and I'm sure Aspect is as well. I think she's got a job for life.

Tia loves people and has considered a career change. In fact, she has thought about getting into something to do with psycology or sociology. She really wants to help people and her passion is with people and understanding them. I wouldn't be surprised to see her working on the urban issues of our country at some point in her life.

2001

The love of my life. Atieh Victoria Helton is truly the love of my life and someone that I look forward to spending the rest of my life with.

Here she is with my daughter.
